When you are over 6 years of age you can take surfing lessons, with a board provided,

and you will learn ocean safety as well as the basics of surfing. Being able to stand on a

surf board demands some skill and you will be taught exactly how to stand by experts. You

will also learn how to swim out of a rip current which is extremely important when surfing,

as when you begin you can expect a few falls. That’s part of the fun of surfing. When you

become more proficient, you will not want to stop as the adrenalin kick is awesome. You

can have lessons at Jacksonville Beach, Mickler’s Landing or at Ponte Verde Beach.
